The special Issue title “Politics and Economics of Climate Variability :Case Studies from India”is an outcome based on the papers presented at the International Conference on Politics and Economics of Climate Change(ICOPECC) at Mar Athanasius college ,Kothamangalam,Kerala India . The conference is funded by RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan) ,MHRD ,Government of India organised during 8th to 10th of January 2020.The International Conference on Politics and Economics of Climate Change(ICOPECC) at Mar Athanasius college is intended to bring together the renowned Academicians ,Scientists ,Technologists ,Researchers and Industrialists to a common platform for the exchange of intelligent ideas for mitigating the adverse impacts of climate change , which is a global concern of humanity today.
Special Issue on Politics and Economics of Climate Variability :Case Studies from India highlight the crisis arising out of climate change in India .The economic cost of climate change on the production system is many times a concern in continuity of these systems . The Politics of livelihood arising of these scenario is impacting the poor and marginalized than the rich .In this scenario the special issue focus on the cases on politics of climate variability and economics of climate variability
